Residential Renovation Project at Norfolk Road in Hove
Everestmiles contractors were appointed principal contractor by Shape Architecture to work on a double storey rear extension with a new roof terrace on a residential family home. The client gained an extra floor on the property to accommodate two bedrooms with two ensuites and a utility. We also carried out a full refurbishment to the 4-storey property.
Scope of work included:
- Structural alterations and forming of a new roof terrace and double rear extension.
- Various Acoustic works
- Fire compartmentation works
- Electrical works throughout
- Plumbing & heating works (UFH & new heating system)
- Dry lining
- Plastering
- New flooring throughout
- Full redecoration
- 2 x new bathrooms and refurbishment to x 2
- Cabinetry works including new wardorbes
- 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
Summary
We thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and creating a great new space for our clients. Working in central Brighton has its challenges but we ensured material deliveries, waste removal etc were scheduled in for times that didn’t affect surrounding residents. The client and architect where very happy with the end product and the unit were handed over on the agreed date.

“Everestmiles came highly recommended through our architect ‘Shape Architecture’. Everestmiles worked on a mammoth project for us involving a roof terrace, glass box and new staircase. Two new bathrooms and dressing rooms were created, along with gutting and redecorating the guest and mastersuite. Our entire house was redecorated exquisitely, new flooring and underfloor heating and air-con units were installed. Ceiling roses and cornicing were re-instated to fit in with the Regency Period of the house. Motion-sensor lighting hard-wired throughout the house. A new boiler System and new windows were also installed. The exterior of the house was also painted. All the above was carried out within the specified time frame and all whilst miraculously living in the house, whilst the work was carried out. Given we work mostly from home, we can honestly say Everestmiles were beyond professional and considerate at all times. Our project spanned a period with record storms (12 named storms to be precise!) yet Everestmiles reliably were on our doorstep at 8am daily. The company worked effectively alongside our interior designer ‘Emma Wood Interiors’. We intend to carry out redecoration of our basement and we shall use Everestmiles without hesitation”.
